Tier 3 - Entry Level Course: Additional Details
What is the Athletic Baseline?
Intro: The Entry Level course is where all IDH/Academy students should begin. It is designed to have a primary Athletic and secondary Academic dimension of development. The basis for advancing through the class is measuring student-athlete progress towards demonstrating the ‘Athletic Baseline’.
Defined: The Athletic Baseline is a demonstrated competency in a set of foundational functional fitness movements. The Athletic Baseline is the pass/go acceptance criteria that measures student progress and allows them to advance through the program.
Measuring Progress: The Entry Level course uses an ‘Athletic Baseline Matrix’ which has 12 lines of athletic movements, and each line has 3 tiers of difficulty (athletic steps). As the student-athletes progresses, they move up one athletic step at a time through the Matrix until the Athletic Baseline competency is demonstrated / achieved.

The Tier 3 program is designed to be fun, accessible, potent in quality and time utilization, and challenging for student-athletes at all levels within the middle-to-high school age range.

Weekly Class Approach:
